In 2012, a 17-month-old Jacksonville boy, Dylan Andres, was attacked & killed by his neighbor's chained dog. Following the attack, League of Humane Voters legislative Rep Renee Rivard with the Andres family's help passed a dog chaining law for Duval County. There are 19 Florida counties that have attended tethering ordinances. These ordinances protect almost 65% of Florida's residents & their pets! "Dylan's Dog Chaining Law" to honor Dylan Andres at a state level With Jennifer Kanady, Anti-Chain-Division Director from the Anti-Dogfighting Campaign Worldwide Organization, has plenty of information, stats, and questionnaires from animal services directors in Florida counties that have passed this ordinance. This info shows that the ordinance is easy to enforce and saves tax payers money, because there are less dog chaining & nuisance calls, & law enforcement says the ordinances help them with dog fighting rings. ~Thank You ALL For Tuning In!~
