Paws Across America Advocacy (PAAA) works to educate people on how to "vote smart" for animal welfare friendly candidates and provides tools to help locate your reps voting history. See: http://www.hslf.org/  Score Cards.  We must all make, constant, contact with our elected officials to communicate what animals need! 
With that being said, the voting public wants better laws for protection, and stiffer penalties for abusers of animal cruelty, neglect and "shelter reform."  PAAA keeps in contact with candidates by emails, letters and phone calls.

The Miami Coalition Against Breed Specific Legislation (MCABSL) is a non-profit organization in the State of Florida. Its mission is to eradicate Breed Specific Legislation (BSL) implementing education and awareness. BSL is a form of canine genocide, discriminating a specific breed of dog based solely on physical characteristics and myths. It is fueled by ignorance and fear. 
MCABSL’s main goal is to lift the Miami Pit Bull Ban that is responsible for the thousands of innocent dogs killed by this hideous ordinance. The ordinance was enacted in 1989 as a result of an alleged Pit Bull attacking a small girl. The knee jerk reaction taken by the Miami Dade County Commission at that time was to Ban Pit Bulls in the county. This led to a slaughtering of all American Staffordshire Terriers, American Staffordshire Bull Terriers, the American Pit Bull Terriers and their mixes. They created a non-origin physical characteristics conformity checklist to single them out. The monetary enforcement costs to the county, the suffering of responsible owners and the loss of innocent canine lives unfortunately still lives on. 
These sentient beings are voiceless on their own but their undying plea is being heard worldwide by the likes of MCABSL!

It’s a horrifying mystery in the Dallas area: Who is dumping the bodies of hundreds of animals, and even a person, along Dowdy Ferry Road? We’ve also learned these illegal dumpers are now branching out, the plague of discarded bodies is spreading beyond the infamous road. Dallas resident Jeremy Boss spent the last two years collecting, counting and crying over the bodies of dogs, cats, goats, cows, horses, roosters and other birds he’s found along this stretch of road in South Dallas.
We will be talking about the very real massacre on Dowdy Ferry Road in Dallas. Where the bodies of hundreds of animals have been dumped over the last few years. It’s incredible, shocking and some local residents say more needs to be done.
In Southeast Dallas on Dowdy Ferry Rd nearly every animal companion is in dire need of rescue. This area is a dumping ground for sick, abused and unwanted dogs - where starved and terribly treated animals are discarded with trash in the woods and along the side of the road

Pitty Rescue is An all-species animal rescue and education organization specializing in Pit Bull rescue and promoting responsible pet ownership.
Mission:  This rescue was established by Jeff and Diana Coltenback in April 2010 after 10 years of private rescue work. Since 2001, we have been fostering, rehabilitating and re-homing homeless animals, specifically pit bulls and pit bull type dogs. We have been directly or indirectly responsible for re-homing thousands of animals; mostly dogs, but also cats, snakes, lizards, bunnies, gerbils, birds and much more.  We also provide low cost dog training and animal behavior evaluations to other rescues and shelters.  And, when the need arises, Pitty Rescue offers safe haven for dogs from other rescues.  Pitty Rescue also offers FREE fostering, training and evaluations to 501(c)3 organizations, when space and resources are available.

TheAnimalNetwork.TV was founded by Steven Ritt and Andy Madison.  Both are dedicated to educating and enlightening people about animals, animal issues, and rescue thru creating and delivering  unique programming for animal lovers everywhere.
Steven Ritt graduated from the Greater Phoenix Dog Training Academy at the age of 17 with a formal education in dog behavior, obedience, and protection training.  Since then, Steven has been training animals for film and television for over 30 years.  His dogs have appeared in many films and TV shows including "Scrooged", "Friends With Benefits", "Veronica Mars", and most notably Buck from "Married With Children...".
The film "Unleashed Love" is about a lonely Pit bull and a rescued puppy that have a wonderful life together as they find everlasting love and devotion, even beyond the grave.

Blue Angel's name was created in honor of our first two rescues, beautiful blue nose Pitt Bull sisters, Paris Skye and Diamond.
We are physically located in Hampton,, but we network nationwide to rescue & get shelter dogs on death row exposure for rescue. We are also very involved in our community offering help finding lost dogs,providing needed items to those in need for their dogs such as straw,food & shelter for dogs .even help with fencing,we help network dogs that need to be re homed,we respond to all calls for dogs in need after hours when animal control is not avail. as well as anytime a citizen reaches out to us . we talk with people,educate & provide resources
We hope to educate the public to Pit Bull discrimination. Another hope is to to change laws to reverse Breed-Specific Legislation across the nation and make life better for this misunderstood breed.

The W-Underdogs is an innovative grassroots nonprofit that pairs underserved youth with animals in need. Our program helps youth at risk for gang involvement in the Peoplestown / South Atlanta neighborhoods gain leadership, responsibility, life skills, and compassion as they use teamwork to train and care for animals. They become empowered to make positive changes at school, home and in their community through advocacy and direct action.
The W-Underdogs goal every day will be to address the challenges that disadvantaged at-risk youth face and provide them with the skills and sense of accomplishment to help them overcome the challenges in their lives. We believe that the W-Underdogs program will energize the families, kids and in turn, contribute to a better community both short and long term. 
Our doghouses are made from recycled material kids find in the neighborhood.  We are always looking for partners to help us with materials, waterproofing, hinges, screws, glue and sealants.  Always collecting dog houses for our outreach program.

                    Baby Cooper's Law: a Federal Initiative to End Vehicular Heatstroke/Cold Car Death of Kids & Dogs
Baby Cooper's Law is an effort to achieve a Federal initiative to end the hot car deaths of children, dogs, the elderly, and other incapacitated persons .Named in honor of Baby Cooper Harris who died after being left in a hot vehicle where temperatures exceeded 140 degrees for more than 8 hours.
The 1st part of BCL will make it a Federal Felony charge to leave a child under the age of 8, a dog or animal, an elderly or incapacitated person in a vehicle unattended when outside temperatures exceed 70 degrees Farenheit or go below 35 degrees.

Tara Loller works for HSUS and has been leading a lot of the recovery effort that HSUS has been doing in Puerto Rico since the hurricanes.
The HSUS Animal Rescue Team stands ready to help animals when large-scale problems arise. Emergencies come in many forms: tornadoes, hurricanes, earthquakes, wildfires, utility outages, and more. There may not be much warning.
Since the hurricane, HSUS and HSI veterinarians, staff, and volunteers have been bringing food and medical aid to animals and people. In addition to delivering approximately 70,000 pounds of humanitarian and animal aid supplies, including water, diapers, baby food, dog, cat, and equine food, and more, to the island’s residents, we are operating public animal care clinics in various locations on the island, where our team of responders and veterinarians is providing free medical care for dogs, cats, horses, goats, and other animals so they can stay with their families.
